Houbara bustards
Morocco people saves the houbara from extinct.
Houbara bustards are endangered. Abu Dhabi Government had built wildlife
propagation and produced about 60,000 birds. Many countries put fund for
Houbara Conservation such as UAE and Kazakhstan and now China and Turkmenistan
lean about this project. The Morocco center has ambitions to release 15,000
birds per season. Last year they released 12,000 birds. The worker trains the
birds to be familiar with the people for breeding. Before they release the
bird, the worker put the birds in the cages and covered with cloth. They
release the birds after hunting season. After they release the bird the
scientists keep track of the bird. The program is a success and the birds have
increased. The author
explains this point thusly, “The success of the programme can be measured though their
density in the wild” (Todorova, V 2011).
