Masdar planned to build wind farm near the
Saudi Arabian border. 7 per cent is from renewable energy within nine years. Government
has reported the 7 per cent target by 2020. Masdar is subsidiary of Mubadala
development which owned by the Abu Dhabi government. The new plant would
produce 100 mw. For wind, 100mw which is blank. Masdar will get the contract on
January. The study will complete in the next six weeks. It is difficult to improve wind power in GCC
than solar power. Especially, in the UAE it is very limited. According to
Masdar’s estimates, plant would take at least $200m build. Wind is unique
